Mermaid Wisdom

Summer is over, but it’s never too late to talk about mermaids. My friends and family would tell you that I love mermaids (and might actually be part mermaid). So I wanted to share some mermaid wisdom with you.

Sea Treasures in Simple Things

Find enjoyment in your everyday activities (see my last blog post). Look around your home and remind yourself how blessed you are to have whatever you have. It doesn’t mean it’s wrong to want something more, just also appreciate what you already have.

Be Calm in the Storm

I think it’s funny when I hear someone say, “it’s not time to panic yet”. When IS a good time to panic? Answer-never! The fastest way to reduce anxiety is to stop and take a deep breath or several. Getting more oxygen to your brain will help you calm down, and will also help you think of a way to solve whatever problem is stressing you out.

Avoid Shallow Living

We can find ourselves giving all of our time to things that aren’t really important to us. If you find that you’re doing things that aren’t really what you want to do, learn how to say “no”.

Seas the Day

This goes along with the previous one. Do things in your day that are important to you, and try to let other things go-they’re not worth your time. Take time everyday to do something enjoyable if you possibly can.
