Individual Therapy
In individual therapy, I treat mood disorders and relationship issues. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which is the “gold standard” therapy for depression and anxiety, as well as other evidence-based methods. I help clients develop emotion coping skills and interpersonal skills including assertiveness and parenting skills. I work with my clients on developing Mindfulness, which studies show is effective in addressing mood problems, anxiety, addictions, and even physical pain. Every intervention I use in individual therapy is evidence-based, meaning its effectiveness is backed up by research data.
Health Coaching
Health coaches work to assist clients to make healthful changes in their lives to improve their physical health. These changes are often recommended by their doctor, but could also be changes the client has decided for themselves they want to make. I can help you with making changes in your diet such as reducing calorie intake, making healthier food choices, and even changing your relationship with food. I can help you develop and keep an exercise plan. I can assist you to quit smoking, which is the single best thing you can do for your health! We can also talk about ways to sleep better.
